Pearla Revela Ends the Round-Trip: Retouch Video Like a Still, Grade Stills Like Film.

ZURICH – 19 October 2026 – Pearla Revela, the post-production workspace from Pearla Mostra, is available now for Mac. Two years in development, Revela brings cataloging, RAW processing, non-destructive node-graph editing, retouching, film emulation, on-device search and multi-output delivery for photos and video into one application. It is original work from the ground up, not an AI clone of an existing editor, and it follows a different model: the source stays whole, the edit stays readable, and every finished version stays tied to the decisions behind it.

One source, every deliverable. In Revela, every adjustment lives where it can be seen. RAW settings, color grades, masks, healing, text, compositing and outputs are nodes on a canvas. A print, a social post, a video trim or an alternate grade branches from the same source, each with its own crop, format and color space, so the finish is part of the edit rather than a separate export after it. A graph preset saves that whole structure, adjustments, masks, outputs, formats, trims and color spaces, and applies it to one asset or a whole collection. Collection export then produces the primary output or every output across hundreds of files in one operation.

Stills and motion through the same graph. Photos and video are edited the same way, with the same tools. Healing, frequency separation, curves, color wheels and masks work on a clip as they do on a still. Frequency separation runs in video with automatic tracking, so a retouch placed on one frame follows the subject through the shot. Retouchers can work in the project’s wider color space and deliver either the complete look or only the retouch in log, in the project’s color space, ready for the colorist to grade.

Film, measured. Pearla’s film profiles are tone mapping profiles that reshape the whole picture as it is rendered, with measured grain and halation on top. Grain is modeled at both the negative and print stages and is exposure-aware.

Catalogs that follow the work. A Revela catalog holds assets, grades, outputs, metadata, notes, references, selects, tags and ratings in one place. Catalogs sync between Macs through a repository on the cloud storage users already have, such as iCloud Drive, or on a network share or external drive, with subfolders, edits and ratings kept in sync. PearlaRAW files shot in Pearla Verana sync through the cloud into Revela catalogs automatically. Search runs entirely on the device, across visual content, visible text, speech, metadata and structured filters, so a clip can be found by describing it. Nothing is sent to Pearla’s servers.

Color on a wider foundation. Every Pearla app is built on Pearla Wide Gamut, a color space engineered around human vision, and Revela uses it as its working space. RAW stills and RAW video are developed from sensor data into it, log footage from any camera is read in its native log format, and users can work in PWG or in any log space the project calls for, for both SDR and HDR deliverables. Revela supports more than 800 cameras across 19 manufacturers and 30 RAW formats, and RAW video in PearlaRAW, Apple ProRes RAW, Blackmagic RAW and Nikon N-RAW, with more RAW video formats to come.

Guy Cassidy, founder of Pearla Mostra, on why Revela took two years: “Because we built it instead of copying it. Every established editor splits a job across a catalog, a photo editor and a video application. Revela treats the source, the edit and every finished version as one structure. If it already exists, we don’t build it.”

Learning Revela. Four step-by-step tutorials are available at pearlamostra.com/docs/tutorials/revela, alongside the full user manual: syncing across Macs, Pearla film profiles, frequency separation for photos and video, and multiple deliverables from one photo or video.

Availability and pricing. Pearla Revela for Mac is available now from pearlamostra.com/revela and requires an Apple silicon Mac running macOS 26.1 or later. A perpetual license for Revela is $349. An annual subscription covering every version is $89.99 per year and starts with a 7-day free trial. Either license runs on two Macs. Revela for iPad and iPhone follows later this year; Revela Lite is already included in Pearla Verana for iPhone. Pearla Cloud, for collaborative workflows, is coming later this year.

About Pearla Mostra: Pearla Mostra is the Swiss company behind the Pearla family of imaging apps for iPhone, iPad and Mac: Pearla Verana, a professional camera app; Pearla Joya, an everyday camera with Verana’s image quality; and Pearla Revela, a post-production workspace. Founded by Guy Cassidy, the company was formed in July 2026 to give the Pearla brand its own home, and grew out of Cassidy’s app studio House of Mars, which continues alongside it with its other apps. Since launching in February 2024, Pearla has introduced Log photography, Open Gate recording, and color calibration (RealHUE) to the iPhone, and is used by over 150,000 photographers and filmmakers.
